Seattle/Colorado Springs Photos Up

Great news! The week is winding down and Seattle & Colorado Springs photos are up, ready to rock.

I'll be in Steamboat Springs this weekend - look for photos and another update sometime during Thanksgiving week...

How I love Seattle!

Remaining sedentary after a year of regular travel is at once refreshing and mind numbing. It is, in any case, good to be on the road again.

Seattle is perhaps my favorite American city. Mountains, Ocean, Forest, Lush Greens, Cosmopolitan, Amazing Seafood, Great Music, Coffee, Nice People, Active Lifestyle, Modern Architecture, Gateway to the Pacific (as they say). What more could one ask for in a modern city?

I rather enjoy how the residents of Seattle combine an offbeat individualism with warm openess. You can be as cool as intelligista, but as friendly as a mid-westener. A fantastic combonation! The city itself has a great feel: Busy streets are artfullly planned to flow beneath islands covered in beautiful trees and comfertable homes. The coming and going of ships in the harbor breathes life into the heart of downtown, adding a sense of action and purpose to the city. It feels as though things are really happening. (Much like Hamburg in this regard, but without the weighted presence of Old Money). Seattle is young.
