Yellowstone

Oi!

I just finished the last day of my internship (Yay!), which went very well. I have little time to write about all that's been going on, as I must franticly pack before heading off to Yellowstone at 7am tomorrow. I'll be gone thru the following weekend. Then its back to Boulder for 2 weeks to take care of paperwork, pack, and say goodbye to the good 'ol US of A.

Tchuse!

July's Last Huzzah

July went out with a bang!

After pulling a muscle near my left shoulder blade by trying to center myself while benching an extra set, I spent a long but fun afternoon at my first renaissance Festival. Though I was disgusted by the extent they tried to squeeze every dollar out of everyone, I thought the setup was fun, the shows entertaining and the people watching unrivaled! I had an excellent surprise when Paul, Jackie and I ran into Ruth Schauble and Alan Polacheck.

That night John Thurow and a friend of his from Hillsdale College (Carrie) showed up, just in time for a party at Paul's empty house. A dozen of us drank and ate, conversed, watched both Gremlin movies (and part of labyrinth), made a late night walk to Safeway where at least I had fun with the shopping carts, and eventually passed out all over the house. Waking up the next morning was fun, as we all chipped in to make breakfast & coffee - finished up by lounging around reading newspapers and magazines. The camaraderie was probably the best part. What an excellent summer this has been!
