Cocktails fur Heute Abend

6 different Cocktails for 2Euro. 2 types of German Beer for 1Euro a pop. A private Bar. A live D.J. and 50 International Guests.

This was the scene at a crazy party in the O-Heim bar on Thursday night, celebrating the conclusion of our first semester in Germany! Jason from Arkansas and Luke from CU organized & priced the Cocktails and ran the Bar. I coordinated the invites & room rental and spun the records. Although I've thrown a couple 20 person kitchen/wine parties (great for their intimate setting), this was our first huge event - 9Pm - 3AM - and came off to rave reviews! The 3 of us were really feeling it behind the bar and had to have been the most fun I've had in a while (and during a year abroad, that says a lot)! There's nothing like being surrounded by so many friends laughing with each other, dancing to your music and having a wicked time doing something you put yourself on the line to organize.

Find the Exclusive Pictures HERE. Everyone took a turn on the Camera that night...

After a couple slow weeks, due mostly to the climax of the semester and lots of planning for upcoming trips, the last 3 days have been mad crazy! Parties and live bands at night, drinking champagne while catching up with friends during the day, or even kicking back at an Irish Pub to watch the Rugby Premeirship on a big screen with a crew from the UK. Life is good.

Some quick updates on what I'm up to:
  • I've just declared a German Minor, after learning that I am not allowed to Double Major in German, as the Business School is a separate entity from Arts&Sciences (For those of you who care: I'd have to Double Degree, which means starting all the Core Req's from scratch, effectively adding at least another year, and lots of stress, to my studies).
  • I'll be catching a bus to Berlin with 40 International Students on Wednesday for a 4 days
  • I'll be flying to Rome on the 22 of Feb followed by about 2 weeks of bumming around in Italy with 2 of my friends there. I'll be meeting up with a friend and his choir from Vassar in Rome on our way out.
  • Then I'll be flying to Paris from Rome on the 7th of March
  • Paris to Brussels, Brussels to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Copenhagen
  • Break in Regensburg for 3-4 days
  • Then I'm flying to London, followed by some cavorting around England (and hopefully a run in with some friends over there)
  • After another break in Regensburg, its off to Greece with a bunch of friends to take it easy on some small islands
  • Then the semester starts, on April 11 (I think?).

I also want to toss out a note:
I'm looking for a paid internship in the Boulder/Denver area, starting in August and lasting either a semester or a whole Academic Year. This will be made difficult as I will be in Germany until the end of July at the earliest. If you have any leads, suggestions or advice - please shoot me an email or leave a comment! ~THANKS~
